Cooking has been my life. My parents, Giuseppe and Carmelina Crisci, immigrated from Italy to the United States in 1972, and few years later they started their first pizzeria right here in Bethlehem. I graduated from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia in 1999 with a Bachelor’s in Chemistry and Biochemistry. I started working for a pharmaceutical company, but always new something was missing. Thinking it was time to do something new, in late 2000, my father approach me about a building located in Downtown Bethlehem that would be a perfect location for a restaurant. And the rest is history. I left the pharmaceutical company and opened Rosanna’s, and here we are 20 years later still making bellies happy and hearts full of love. I spoke to my advisor from college a few years back and she said to me, “Rosanna, cooking is a Chemistry so technically you still are doing what you love!” That right there always sticks in the back of my mind. Love what you do and it’s never work.
